Some random questions...help, please!
So, this week, for a project, I have some questions I need answered regarding Buffy and her work history...any help is appreciated!

1. Can someone help me figure her work history out, with approximate locations, dates, and job titles? Also, what was the name of the cafe Buffy works for in San Fran? The Pick Me Up?

2. What was Buffy's full address in Sunnydale? How about in San Fran? Do we even know?

3. How much do you think Buffy was paid as when she was the counselor at Sunnydale High?

4. What is the zip and area code for her neighborhood in San Francisco?

I can answer No.2 right off the top of my head : 1630 Revello Drive

And if you are talking about Anne, that cafe was in LA - not San Fran - and it was called "Helen's Kitchen'.

Great, thanks!

Also, what's the zip for Sunnydale?

As a fictional town it doesn't have one.

According to this, CA 95037. However, they've got a different address: 'Crestview' instead of Revello Drive, so I don't know how much credibility to give it.

(From 'As You Were')

In 'Help', the fake website set up supposedly by Cassie Newton had the zip code 94086, which is the real-life ZIP code for Sunnyvale, CA.

As a final suggestion, maps of California generally put Sunnydale in the position that in real life, Santa Barbara is located; and various outdoor scenes used that town as a backdrop. So you could use the real-life zip code of Santa Barbara.

3. Since Buffy didn't have the educational credentials to be a real school counselor, I think her position was more accurately something like "community outreach advocate". I doubt that she made more than $1,000-1,500 per month — $8-ish per hour, 6 hours per day, no benefits, no summer pay. Perhaps there was some awesome grant money for a "troubled" school lying around. Possible, given the death rate...

1, 4. We don't even know what neighborhood Buffy lives in in SF, let alone an address or ZIP. It looks a bit like the north end of town, for example the Russian or Telegraph Hill areas. The area code is 415 for the whole city. She presently works at the Pick Me Up coffeehouse, which could be lots of places in town, but since it primarily caters to a gay clientele I'd guess it's in the Castro (zip: 94114). This has the advantage of being centrally located and close to public transit, which is good for an avid pedestrian like Buffy.

On Jan. 1, 2012 San Francisco's minimum wage rose to $10.24 an hour. We don't know what year it is "in comic", but she's probably making a bit more than that, perhaps $11-12 plus tips. San Francisco also mandates that all employers provide health insurance, even for part-time, low wage workers, usually through a plan called "Healthy San Francisco".

Thank you so much for your help!

I must revise my theory of the Pick Me Up being in the Castro. Looking at the exterior shot from S8 #40, there is a cable car going by. This could only happen along Hyde, Powell, or California Streets, all of which are well away from the Castro.

Good observation!

Looks like other people have answered the things I know...

And it just occurred to me that you're talking about the comic books with the San Francisco questions, aren't you? Like the others, my brain immediately went to the time she ran away to LA on the show.

Great, thanks guys! That answered many of my questions.

I still need help, though, working out the dates for Buffy's work history. We know she has worked at;

Pick Me Up (S8-9)
Sunnydale HS (S7)
Double Meat Palace (S6)
Helen's Kitchen (S3)

Approximate dates I'm not sure on...
